Local News in Brief : Arrest Made in Slaying in Lake View Terrace

A Lake View Terrace man was arrested Monday on suspicion of murder in the shooting death of another man during what Los Angeles police said was a neighborhood argument.
John Gray, 42, was being held without bail in the Foothill Division jail in Pacoima in the shooting of Lonnie Guillory, 20, about 3 a.m. in front of a home in the 1140 block of Kagel Canyon Street, Detective Robert Muldrew said.
The shooting stemmed from an argument between the pair that escalated into a fight, ending when Gray “armed himself and shot the victim,” Muldrew said.
Guillory was taken by a bystander to Holy Cross Hospital where he was pronounced dead, Muldrew said. Muldrew said witnesses were being questioned by police.
