A spokesman for the Southern California Rapid Transit District said it will test the speedometer on the bus that flipped on the Hollywood Freeway Thursday, injuring 27. The bus driver, Shirley Jean Riojas, has said she was confused about her speed because the speedometer was was not working. The California Highway Patrol said its investigation would not include a test of the speedometer, and that speedometers are not required on such buses by law.
