A Pittsburg man, accused of attempted murder in the drive-by shooting last year of a Stockton disc jockey and her boyfriend, pleaded innocent Monday in Contra Costa County Superior Court. Donald W. Carroll, free on $150,000 bail, was ordered by Superior Court Judge Richard Arnason to stand trial Oct. 21. The 27-year-old defendant is charged in the Sept. 28, 1985, shooting of KSTN disc jockey Elizabeth Martinez and Roger Bonelli, both 21. Shots from a high-powered rifle hit Bonelli in the thigh and paralyzed Martinez as they drove on a highway. Carroll also is charged with possession of LSD and dynamite.
