Two Ojai residents were sentenced to jail for stealing a champion quarter horse and selling it at auction in El Monte. Robert Perdue and Deanna Southmayd were convicted of grand theft for taking the horse, named All Out, from a home near Ojai where its owner was boarding it. Perdue was sentenced to 60 days and Southmayd received a 40-day sentence. Both also were placed on probation for five years.
