Treatment of Women Prisoners in Chile Decried

BRUSSELS — The International Confederation of Free Trade Unions charged Tuesday that the Chilean government treats women prisoners badly and called for the release of all political and labor activists being held in that country.
The organization, based in Brussels, said that its representatives had just visited political prisons in Chile and were shocked at the degrading treatment of women.
