Construction is in progress on the $6-million North Lake Square neighborhood shopping center in the Lake-Washington redevelopment area of Pasadena. The development of Watt/Johnson is a joint venture of Watt Commercial Development Corp. and Channing Johnson.
Located on a six-acre site on the west side of Lake Avenue, between Washington Boulevard and Claremont Street, the 79,000-square-foot commercial center is scheduled to open in February. The center was designed by Arun Phadnis and is being built by Licha Construction of Encino.
Watt Commercial Development Corp., the leasing agent, reports that the project is already 45% leased and that the center will be anchored by a 39,000-square-foot Boys Market. An additional 40,000 square feet will be occupied by retail shops.
