One person was killed when a truck-trailer overturned and sprawled over three lanes of the southbound Long Beach Freeway in Compton, the California Highway Patrol reported. Initial reports said no other vehicles were involved in the crash, which took place near Atlantic Avenue, the CHP said. The identity of the victim was not immediately known. The wreck forced closure of the three freeway lanes.
