College Soccer : Chapman Beats La Verne, 2-1

Chapman College defeated La Verne, 2-1, Wednesday afternoon in a nonconference men’s soccer game at La Verne.

Senior Moi Garcia broke a 1-1 tie with a goal five minutes into the second half. It was Garcia’s third goal of the season. Rick Snyder also scored for the Panthers (3-1).

In other soccer action:

Cal State Fullerton 0, Stanford 0--Titan goalie Bobby Ammann, a senior from Mater Dei High School, had five saves and Cardnial goalie Tom Austin had nine saves.

Stanford is 2-1-1; Fullerton is 0-1-1.
