Alemany’s Boys, Girls Win in Cross-Country

Jose Haro and Siobhan O’Reilly led the Alemany High cross-country teams to easy victories against Notre Dame in a dual meet Wednesday afternoon at Alemany.
The boys eased to a 19-44 victory. The Alemany girls won, 22-35.
Haro ran the three-mile course in 16:25, defeating Mike Glaze of Notre Dame by nine seconds.
Alemany teammates Peter Delacerda, Mike Thomas, Greg Jones and Eddie Padilla took the next four places behind Glaze.
Delacerda’s time was 16:40. Thomas and Jones finished at 16:51.
In the girls race, O’Reilly’s 20:18 effort beat second-place Vicki Hosek of Notre Dame by 34 seconds.
