Youths Protest French Expulsions of Basques

PAMPLONA, Spain — Police used rubber bullets and tear gas Sunday to disperse crowds of youths protesting in this northern Spanish city against France’s expulsion of suspected Basque guerrillas.
A policeman was slightly injured and one demonstrator was arrested, police said.
France has since July handed over eight suspected Basque separatists to the Spanish police as part of its policy of closer cooperation with Spain in combatting guerrillas.
