More Than half of American adults surveyed were satisfied with the level of government services and taxes, the Advisory Commission on Intergovernmental Relations said in releasing results of a Gallup Poll. The poll, conducted May 17-25, also found that 41% of those questioned favored a more powerful federal government--a significant increase from 1982, when 30% said they would like to see the government use its powers more vigorously.
