So, the National Enquirer of world politics--otherwise known as Pravda--has chosen pop songwriter Allee Willis as the latest victim of the Soviet disinformation machine, mistranslating her “Neutron Dance” (Pop Eye, by Patrick Goldstein, Sept. 21).
My question is, What Else Is New? These are the same people who claim that a Korean airliner loaded with passengers was actually a U.S. spy plane, and that tanks and attack helicopters in Afghanistan are aiding the Afghan government in dealing with subversives.
Hold your head up high, Ms. Willis, and just remember that it could be a lot worse. Ask Andrei Sakharov or Nick Daniloff.
