A fire early Saturday morning destroyed most of a two-story commercial building under construction in Tarzana, causing an estimated $1 million in damage, authorities said.
More than 100 firefighters responded to an alarm at 18700 Ventura Blvd. and found the 200-by-500-foot building, which was still being framed, engulfed in flames, Los Angeles city Fire Department spokesman Jim Williamson said.
A firefighter who received minor burns to one hand was treated at Northridge Hospital Medical Center, Williamson said.
Cause of the fire was under investigation.
