Torrance-based Ashton-Tate, largest marketer of microcomputer applications software in Europe, has signed a three-year, $42.1-million contract with its French distributor, La Commande Electronique, for the production, translation, distribution and marketing of French-language versions of dBase III Plus, Framework II and its MultiMate word processing product line.
