Ashok Dhawan has been named vice president of the Communications Products Unit at Emulex Corp. in Costa Mesa. He succeeds Stan Reese, who has been appointed director of national accounts, Communications Products. Emulex is a manufacturer of computer components.

Before joining Emulex, Dhawan had been with MICOM Systems Inc. in Simi Valley, most recently serving as president of the company’s subsidiary, Micom-Interlan. He also served as MICOM’s corporate vice president, marketing and development, and as director of product development.
