Proposition 61: Salary Limits
I fully agree with your editorial on Proposition 61. Only the best should be eligible for the position of governor. In my opinion, the governor should be paid at least $300,000 a year--that is as much or more than a lawyer, physician or developer.
For a salary of $85,000, only the independently rich will be attracted to becoming governor, or some unqualified people who have been unable to obtain a highly paid job in a competitive field.
