Community College Roundup : Orange Coast Wins 14th Straight Water Polo Match

Stuart Karl scored five goals Friday as the Orange Coast College water polo team won its 14th straight by defeating San Diego Mesa, 21-9, in an Orange Empire Conference game at Orange Coast.

Eric Keller added four goals for the Pirates (8-0, 16-1).

In other Orange Empire Conference water polo action:

Saddleback 16, Citrus 12--J. D. Dennis scored six goals, Eric Long had four and Danny Bethke and Bruce Orcutt added two each to lead the Gauchos (7-1, 11-3) at Saddleback.

In the South Coast Conference:

Golden West 20, Mt. San Antonio 7--Scott Larson scored five goals and Mike Story had four to lead the Rustlers (7-1, 14-3) at Mt. San Antonio.

In Orange Empire League soccer action:

Rancho Santiago 1, Cypress 0--Francisco Rea scored in the first half for the Dons (3-0-1, 8-1-2) at Cypress (1-3, 2-7-1).

Orange Coast 2, Riverside 1--Kevin Wolf and Glenn Shaw scored first-half goals to lead the Pirates (3-0-1, 5-5-1) at Riverside.
