Construction begins Tuesday on the first phase of Brea’s $50-million Fairway Center and the second phase of its $100-million Brea Tech Center.
Fairway Center, located at the intersection of Imperial Boulevard and Placentia Avenue, will include a two-story, 150,000-square-foot office building with a brick veneer. Designed by the Nadel Partnership of Santa Monica, it will feature a large atrium and skylight in the main lobby and panoramic views of the adjacent golf course. Irvine’s Saffell and McAdams Inc. is contractor.
The second phase of Brea Tech Center, located at 2727 E. Imperial Highway, will include two textured-concrete buildings with a total of 185,000 square feet of office space. Two office buildings with a total of 200,000 square feet are already on the site. The two new buildings are designed by Los Angeles-based Fields & Silverman, and project contractor is Keller Construction Co. of El Monte.
Both Fairway Center and Brea Tech Center are being developed by Harold Josephson and Gerald L. Katell in association with Cal Fed Income Properties.
