Drowning in Storm Drain

A 63-year-old worker was trapped and drowned in a storm drain Wednesday when a large water main was accidently ruptured by fellow crewmen at a construction site in Palos Verdes Estates, police said.
David Gomez del Rio of Bell was swept to his death by the rushing waters, despite rescue efforts by his son, officers said.
