Struggling Tiger International, parent of air-freight carrier Flying Tiger Line, which is asking its unions to grant concessions to cut costs, posted a modest profit for its third-quarter, the first profitable period since the third quarter of 1984. The company attributed the improved results in the latest quarter to a significant decline in aviation fuel.
