Proposition 61: State Salary Limits
As a state employee, I hope that everyone will vote no on Proposition 61.
Those in favor of Proposition 61 say that if it passes it will stop salaries from skyrocketing. In addition, Proposition 61 would not allow state employees to carry over unused vacation time and sick leave time from one year to another. However, taxpayers would have to pick up the bill to pay for sick time and vacation time already earned by state employees. This payment could cost the state budget about $7 billion dollars, which in my opinion will do more harm than good.
