Village Christian 31, Los Angeles Baptist 12--Village Christian took advantage of four L.A. Baptist turnovers in an Alpha League game at Kennedy.
The tone of the game was set in the first quarter when Village Christian’s Gregg Lloyd picked up a fumble by L.A. Baptist quarterback Troy Lawrence and ran 83 yards for a touchdown.
Village Christian went ahead 14-0 on a 26-yard touchdown pass from Chris Johnson to Alex Hepburn. Village Christian led at the half 24-6.
Johnson led the Crusaders. He completed 6 of 134 passes for 118 yards and a touchdown and carried the ball 3 times for 43 yards and a touchdown.
