Femi Olukanni scored his 11th goal of the season to lead Fresno State to a 1-0 victory over Southern Methodist in an NCAA soccer tournament quarterfinal game at Fresno.
The crowd of 7,654 was the largest ever for soccer at Fresno State’s Bulldog Stadium.
Fresno State (18-4-2) advanced to the semifinals against the University of Akron next weekend at a place to be determined.
