Yokohama Tire Corp. said it has moved its United States corporate headquarters from Montebello to Fullerton.
Ernest Hicks, controller and operations manager, said the move was prompted by the company’s need for more room. The Fullerton facility contains about 200,000 square feet, he said, while the Montebello facility was only about 60,000 square feet.
Hicks said the facility will serve as the company’s national distribution center. All 70 employees from the Montebello facility will work in the Fullerton office and warehouse, said Hicks. He said the move created about 15 additional jobs, all of which have been filled.
