Shot at Buzzer Gives San Dieguito a Victory

Paul Chan sank a 12-footer at the final buzzer, capping a fourth-quarter rally, to lead San Dieguito High to a 48-46 victory over Escondido in the season opener for both Tuesday night at San Dieguito.
Escondido led through the first three quarters, increasing its margin to 36-24 with two minutes remaining in the third period.
Chris Bahr paced San Dieguito with 19 points. Chan finished with eight.
Escondido’s John Lovett led all scorers with 21.
