Carson : 10-Cent Transfer to RTD

For a dime, riders of the Carson Circuit, as the city’s bus system is known, can transfer to the Southern California Rapid Transit District or Torrance Transit systems and keep on riding. The saving can be as much as 75 cents.
Before the inauguration of the transfer system, a bus passenger who boarded the Carson Circuit and then got on an RTD or Torrance bus had to pay 25 cents for the Carson bus and then 85 cents for the RTD bus or 50 cents for the Torrance bus. Under the new arrangement, a rider traveling the same route will pay 35 cents for the Carson bus ticket and the transfer.
Carson officials are negotiating a similar agreement with the Long Beach transit system.
