About half of the reductions will be achieved through attrition, Chicago-based Baxter Travenol Laboratories said. The rest of the employees will be let go, a spokesman added. The elimination of the jobs will be carried out over the next five months as part of a plan accompanying its merger with American Hospital Supply Corp.
