Protesters Chant, March in Front of White House

WASHINGTON — About 30 sign-carrying, chanting protesters demonstrated in front of the White House on Wednesday, opposing the Administration’s secret sale of arms to Iran and the funneling of money to Nicaraguan rebels.
Chanting “ Contra aid has got to go; hey, hey; ho, ho,” the demonstrators marched in a circle and carried signs reading “No arms for terrorists,” “End military intervention” and “Obey the law.”
A sign reading “Honk if you think they’re lying” drew scattered beeps from motorists. The Committee for a Sane Nuclear Policy, which lobbies for nuclear arms control, sponsored the rally.
