A truck driver who shot the son of country singer Ricky Skaggs on an interstate highway pleaded guilty to six charges. Andrew Lee Skaggs, 7, shot in the head Aug. 17 near the Daleville, Va., exit of Interstate 81, will have reconstructive surgery off and on until he is 16. Edward Dean Duehring could get up to 52 years in prison on charges involving the shooting and drug possession. Brenda Skaggs, Ricky Skaggs’ former wife, said she was driving with her son when the shot came into her car after she honked at a semi that pulled off the shoulder into her way.
