Sikhs Kill Officer’s Son

AMRITSAR, India — Sikh extremists on motor scooters today shot and killed the 15-year-old son of a police officer as the youth cycled to school along a busy street, officials said. The slaying sparked a protest by about 600 Hindu students, who gathered in western areas of the city and threw rocks, blocked traffic and tried to set fire to a car.
