Fires sparked by incendiary devices damaged four more stores in Hamburg, West Germany, bringing to 10 the number of businesses believed attacked by arsonists in two days. There were no injuries, but damage was reported to be “in the millions.” Police said investigators suspect the arson was connected with a demonstration Saturday, when left-wing marchers, protesting the eviction of tenants from public housing scheduled to be torn down, battled riot police. Most of the fires were caused by bottles of acid left in the stores. The bottles, filled with two types of acid separated by a layer of film, explode when the acids eat through the divider.
