Arnold Barco’s 40-foot power boat, “My Way,” won the top sweepstakes award in the Marina del Rey Christmas Boat Parade. Barco’s boat also won the best-of-theme award and the prize for the best yacht club entry.
Participating for the first time in the annual holiday parade was the 145-foot official state tall ship, the Californian, from the Nautical Heritage Museum in Dana Point, and the Cousteau Society’s 103-foot oceanographic research vessel, Alcyone.
The parade is sponsored by the Pioneer Skippers Boat Owners Assn.
