An Outtakes friend with big ears overheard a conversation last week at the Beverly Center between a busy star actress and her friend, who were last-minute Christmas shopping:

The star said she just got back from NYC and was busy at work with a screenwriter on a movie script. She had to rush over to the Burbank Studios that afternoon to screen the old “Helen Morgan Story.” That was about a comeback singer who is addicted to alcohol. In her project, the singer is addicted to sugar.
