AT&T; said it will buy facilities from ITT.

American Telephone & Telegraph said it has agreed to purchase from ITT Corp. companies that provide domestic and international telecommunications services in Puerto Rico and the U.S Virgin Islands. The Federal Communications Commission must approve the purchase of the companies, All America Cables & Radio Inc. and ITT Communications Inc. Virgin Islands. AT&T; spokeswoman Esther Silver-Parker said AT&T; would provide only long-distance service on the islands.
