STOUGHTON, Mass. — Three young white men have been charged with assault and battery and violating the Massachusetts civil rights law for allegedly making an unprovoked attack on four Vietnamese men in a parking lot.
Two of the four Vietnamese required hospital treatment after the attack last week outside a restaurant, which included racial slurs yelled by the white men, said Lt. Philip Dineen, the Stoughton Police Department’s civil rights officer.
The victims, all waiters at another nearby restaurant, had just left work when the three men approached them from behind, police said.
According to one of the victims, Dennis Chan, 21, of Quincy, he and his companions did not know the men and had never been harassed by them before.
