The screen rights to the story of New York model Marla Hanson, whose face was slashed repeatedly by an assailant, have been acquired by Robert Cooper Productions. The movie will be developed for NBC. Hanson’s former landlord was recently convicted of aggravated assault for arranging for the attack, which left her with 150 stitches in her face. She has resumed working as a model and actress, although she still faces reconstructive surgery.
