South County : Elderly Offered Help in Preparing Tax Returns

Free help for older people living in the southern part of the county in preparing their income tax returns is being offered by the American Assn. of Retired Persons, in cooperation with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service and the state Franchise Tax Board.
Larry Fishbon, a retired IRS employee and coordinator for the south county program, said counselors in 10 locations have completed a training course that will enable them to help solve most of the problems senior citizens encounter in completing their returns.
