CHUCK NORRIS & ‘PLATOON’
There is a murky sea of gray matter that Norris refuses to acknowledge in regard to the Vietnam War. The truth sometimes hurts, and hurt “Platoon” does.
Films like “Platoon” do not diminish our patriotism as Norris suggests. Nor do the diminish the memory of the men and women who died. They simply present another layer on a complex and often painful story.
I mean, jeez Chuck, wake up and smell the napalm.
