QUOTE OF THE WEEK: How much is a Grammy worth? Plenty, according to jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis. “Grammy nominations are good because it adds another $1,500 to my fee to the promoters,” he said recently. “Hopefully I can win and add some more money on top of that.” Even if Branford loses, his family could still end up ahead. One of his key competitors for a Grammy in the “Jazz Instrumental Performance--Soloist” category is his brother, Wynton Marsalis.
