Leading members of Ireland’s Jewish community Wednesday angrily condemned a bid to stage playwright Jim Allen’s “Perdition,” which alleges that Zionist leaders collaborated with Nazis in the murder of 6 million Jews in World War II. “It has been hauled around cities throughout Europe and it is no great compliment to Dublin that it is the last city in which they are trying to stage it,” Joe Briscoe of the Jewish Representative Council said. London’s Royal Court Theatre canceled a production of the play last month after protests from British historians and Jews, who said it was riddled with inaccuracies.
