Gateway Reports Earnings for Fiscal 1986 Up by 52%

Gateway Communications Inc., an Irvine-based computer equipment manufacturer, posted earnings of $1.5 million for its fiscal 1986, a 52.2% increase from the $985,346 recorded a year earlier. Revenue for the year ended Dec. 31 more than doubled to $11.9 million from $5.7 million.

For the fourth quarter, Gateway recorded earnings of $505,107, more than triple the $150,688 reported a year earlier. Revenue during the same period climbed 80%, to $3.6 million from $2 million.
