A pornographic film distribution company and its owner have been charged with selling two videotapes depicting what City Atty. James Hahn called “sickening violent sexual attacks on women.”
Named in a misdemeanor complaint issued this week were Orchids International, headquartered in Monterey Park, and Jim Chu, 37, of Montebello.
Each was charged with two counts of distributing obscene material, one count of possessing obscene material with the intent to distribute it and one count of advertising the sale of obscene material.
Arraignment is scheduled for Feb. 19.
