U.S. Asks More Swiss Bank Data

BERN, Switzerland — The United States made another request for information on more individual and company bank accounts possibly involved in the Iran arms affair, the Swiss Justice Ministry said today.
Ministry spokesman Joerg Kistler said Washington’s new request will mean a delay “of at least one more month” in deciding whether to provide previously requested information. Some of the people and companies named by American justice authorities had been cited in the earlier requests, Kistler said, and “that means these people can make new appeals against disclosure of account details.”
