A 45-year-old man was shot and killed during an argument in a San Ysidro neighborhood Sunday afternoon and a suspect was being held in connection with the killing, San Diego police reported.
The victim, whose identity was withheld pending notification of next of kin, was shot in the head with a shotgun outside a house in the 300 block of Sycamore Road about 3:30 p.m., police said.
The suspect was identified as Brian Frenen, 36, of San Ysidro. Homicide detectives were attempting to determine the motive for the slaying.
