Japan’s Seko Wins 30-Kilometer Race

NAGOYA, Japan — Japan’s Toshio Seko won a men’s 30-kilometer road race Sunday and said he will compete in the Boston Marathon on April 20.
Seko, 30, finished in 1:28:52, more than three minutes ahead of runner-up Shuzo Nakajima, whose time was 1:32:02.
Seko told reporters that he wanted to run in the $250,000 Boston Marathon because of the high level of competition, Susumu Sunahara, an official of the Japan Track and Field Federation, said.
