French trumpeter Maurice Andre has canceled his American tour because of illness and will not appear with the Pacific Symphony on March 17 at the Orange County Performing Arts Center in Costa Mesa as originally scheduled.
Instead, the Pacific Symphony will substitute a program scheduled for April 19, with Keith Clark conducting Haydn’s Symphony No. 88 and Mussorgsky’s “Pictures at an Exhibition,” and Lalo Schifrin conducting the premiere of his Concerto for Double-Bass, with soloist Gary Karr. This program will be repeated on April 19.
