Long Beach, UNLV In Women’s Final

Fourth-ranked Cal State Long Beach State and Nevada Las Vegas advanced to today’s 11 a.m. title game of the Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. women’s basketball tournament with victories Friday at the Forum.
UNLV forward Angela Christian scored 28 points to lead the Rebels (21-8) to an 86-69 win over Fresno State (22-8), while Long Beach forward Cindy Brown scored 21 points to lead the 49ers past San Diego State, 108-74. Brown grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds and had 9 steals and 8 assists.
Long Beach’s Penny Toler and Shannon Smith each added 20 points as the 49ers raised their record to 29-2. The Aztecs ended up 13-16.
