Dodger Executive Schweppe to Quit

VERO BEACH, Fla. — Bill Schweppe, the Dodgers’ vice president in charge of minor league operations, said Wednesday night that he will retire at the end of the year.
Schweppe, 73, has been the Dodgers’ farm director since 1969 and a member of the organization since 1946.
