Witnesses reported that a cardboard box containing the body of an unidentified man, which was found Monday on the side of a road in Southeast San Diego, had been there for at least three days, San Diego police said.
The dead man was bound and gagged, police said.
The victim, described to be a partially clothed white man between 25 and 35, was found in the 1800 block of Thor Street, police said. Nearby residents told authorities the box had been there since Friday.
