The Oregon Supreme Court rejected the application to practice law of a former anti-war radical who took part in a fatal 1970 college bombing. David S. Fine hasn’t demonstrated the character necessary for admission to the Oregon State Bar, the court said in a unanimous ruling. Fine pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and other charges in the Vietnam War protest bombing of an Army Mathematics Research Center at the University of Wisconsin at Madison. A research worker was killed in the blast.
